# review Check

> Stops page copy merging before anyone has read it. A pull request that adds a page or changes the words on one needs a content review. One that changes what the company says it is (the home page, a title, a headline, the company's description) needs the approval of the person who owns that message. One that adds a video needs someone to have watched it.

With Heddle on your site it runs on every build, so a page that fails it is fixed before a buyer or a search engine sees it.

## Why it exists

Stops page copy merging before anyone has read it. A pull request that adds a page or changes the words on one needs a content review. One that changes what the company says it is (the home page, a title, a headline, the company's description) needs the approval of the person who owns that message. One that adds a video needs someone to have watched it.

Built after a pull request on our own site rewrote the services page and merged before anyone read it. The review that ran afterwards found two wrong product claims and a demo presented as client work.

Where agents publish on their own, a model reads the new words against the company's approved claims and stands in for the content review. Nothing stands in for the approval of what the company says it is. A new push takes the approvals off, so they always belong to the words that merge.

## Questions

### What does the review check look for?

Page copy merges only after a content review, and a change to what the company says it is only with its owner's approval.

### How do I run it?

Build the site, then run node bin/heddle.mjs check <site> --only review from the Heddle repository.
