Why it exists
Images: every <img> on a built page reserves its box (width and height), every content image is in the measured manifest, below-the-fold images load lazily, and no screenshot placeholder ships.

<img>tags across 161 pages with no width or height. Layout shift as each loaded (scripts/image-dimensions.mjs). - Pictures are evidence ("a logo is read faster than a sentence"), and a screenshot of a measured result is the proof a reader can check.
The writer marks where one belongs with and never invents it; a person takes it, redacts it and replaces the marker. A marker left in a published post is a missing proof.
- 7 October 2026. Once media lived only in object storage, a file added to the folder and never uploaded was a live 404. A page that links media the manifest does not hold fails (site.json media; heddle media).
