counts Check

A count of Heddle's own machinery that the page states wrong. A site that describes Heddle says how many checks, page families and agents it has, and each number goes stale the day Heddle adds one. In October 2026 the product's own site gave its checks as 16, its page families as 12 and its AI agents as twelve, when the code counted 26, 14 and 14. mjs).

With Heddle on your site it runs on every build, so a page that fails it is fixed before a buyer or a search engine sees it.

Why it exists

A count of Heddle's own machinery that the page states wrong. A site that describes Heddle says how many checks, page families and agents it has, and each number goes stale the day Heddle adds one. In October 2026 the product's own site gave its checks as 16, its page families as 12 and its AI agents as twelve, when the code counted 26, 14 and 14.

Runs on a site whose site.json names its catalog snapshot (counts.catalog, a JSON file with a counts object written from lib/counts.mjs).

Every built page's title, description and body, and every company.json allowed claim, is read for a number next to one of the counted nouns ("N checks", "N AI agents", in digits or words) and fails when the number is not the catalog's. A catalog older than this Heddle is a warning. The site should resync.

counts.except lists phrases that make a match acceptable in the same sentence, for a sentence that counts something else with the same noun.
