heddle check --only uniqueness
Uniqueness Check
The uniqueness check measures how many of each family page's long sentences also appear on its siblings, and fails a page over the family's ceiling. Without it, a family of city or comparison pages can drift until they differ only by the swapped word, which Google treats as doorway pages. How much of each page-family page is shared with its siblings.
When Heddle is set up on your site, this check runs on every build alongside 15 others, so a page that fails it is fixed before a buyer or a search engine sees it.
Why it exists
How much of each page-family page is shared with its siblings.
A set of pages that differ only by a swapped value (a city, a competitor, an industry) is the doorway pattern Google's scaled-content-abuse policy names, and the penalty lands on the whole set. On the site this came from, the first city build shared 67% of its sentences between two cities; per-row material brought it under the ceiling, and measuring the built HTML holds every later row to the same standard.
"Shared" means a sentence of eight words or more that appears verbatim on at least one sibling in the same family. Shared sections exist by design, so the number is never zero; what it must not do is climb towards the whole page. The ceiling is the family spec's uniquenessCeiling (0.8 was calibrated on forty pages that already ranked at 74% to 76%).

Questions
What does the uniqueness check look for?
Share of each family page's 8+ word sentences also on a sibling, against the family's ceiling.
Does the uniqueness check need an AI model?
No. It reads the built pages or the sources directly, so it runs offline and costs nothing per run.
How do I run it?
Build the site, then run node bin/heddle.mjs check <site> --only uniqueness from the Heddle repository.
